New Fabrics for May 2023
Hello Quilting Friends,
The month of May has been flying by. I am sure everyone is keeping busy with Mother's Day last weekend, Graduations all month long, and planting the flower beds and gardens. Who has time to sew? I try to squeeze a little sewing time in each day. Speaking about graduation, I just had a client picked up t-shirt quilt that I made for them to give as a graduation gift. So if you need a gift for someone speacial, I can make a custom t-shirt quilt with your favorite t-shirts, Or I can sell you the fabric for you to make a lovely quilt for a gift. If you need longarm quilting done, I can quilt the quilt for you.
Did you participate in the Mystery Quilt Amber? If so, please share photos of your quilts on the Facebook group, Corner Curve Quilts Mystery Quilt. Click here to go to the Facebook group. I know a few people have finished their quilt tops and were waiting to post pictures after the quilts were done.
The shop has received some new fabric and more is on the way. Some of my favorites are the red, white and blue Kimberbell Basics Kim's Picks Star Spangled precuts. There are 2.5" strips, 5" charm packs and 10" squares. Click here to shop the pre-cuts.
One of my favorite tools when laying out a quilt is my color evaluator. It is used to find a balance or create movement with the light and dark fabrics in a quilt. The color evaluator turns what you see into a gray scale (black & white). View your poject through the filters to determine color value- light, medium or dark. The red filter works for all colors except red and the green filter works for all colors except green. Click here to shop for the Color Evlauators. These are $8.99 for the two color evaluators.
