2023 Mystery Quilt Amber Clue One
Hello Quilting Friends,
I am so glad that you are joining me for this mystery quilt. The clues will come out every Thursday at 7:00 am EST for the next six weeks. I have created a private Facebook page for posting pictures, asking questions and sharing with fellow quilters on this journey. Click here to go to the Corner Curve Quilts Mystery Quilt group on Facebook.
This week we are starting off with flying geese that have a yellow body and white background. Click here to get the PDF printer friendly directions. There are many ways to make flying geese. You are welcome to use your favorite method, however, that might change the yardage needed. I planned this quilt to be scrappy with lots of different fabrics. However, if you decided to use only one or two fabrics for each color, then you will still create a beautiful quilt. One of the great things about making scrappy quilts, is being able to add more fabrics as you go along.
Here is a picture of a few of my flying geese units.
One more thing before you get started today. Take the time to clean the lint out of you bobbin case area and oil your machine. If you need to refer back to your sewing machines owners manual to check the correct oiling spots, then do it. Your sewing machine is a power tool and power tools need regular maintenance.
Let's go sew!
As Always,
Michelle Tuller
