Are you getting excited for the Cy Star Mystery Quilt Along 2021?  I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful quilt with you starting, February 11, 2021.  Some people have asked if they can use different colors?  Yes, you can choose a different color pallet. I've played with a few different color combinations and they all are fantastic. The quilt will finish at 66" x 88."  The directions for this quilt will have two methods. The first method will be traditional piecing, but will use a couple of Creative Grid Rulers to make some of the cutting and steps easier.  The rulers are: "Two Peaks in One" and "Cat's Cradle".  (This gives you a little hint about some of the units being made in this quilt.) You can order the rulers here.  If I'm out of stock, go ahead and order, more are on the way. The basic units can be made more than one way. Although it will be great for you to try my methods.  You can use a tried and true method for making the given units. You can always add the rulers to your wish list. The finished and unfinished measurements will be given with each clue.  The second method will be no tear foundation paper piecing.  The Add a Quarter Ruler is a great tool for foundation paper piecing. The reusable foundation paper piecing template, is made with freezer paper. The pattern is not torn up and therefore you can reuse it for the next unit. This eliminates the tearing, gnashing and ripping of paper from a finished quilt top. If you have questions, please email.
