About Us
Michelle has been quilting for over 30 years. Making her 1 st quilt with her mother, as she headed off to college. She has made over 250 quilts, with many being her own design or a modified pattern to create a unique quilt. Her quilts have been displayed at the AQS Grand Rapids, MI, show, Houston International Quilt Festival, The West Tennessee State Fair and the Berrien Towne and Country Quilters shows. March-September 2021, her Sapphire Stars quilt was displayed at the Texas Quilt Museum.
Michelle started, SWMI-T-Quilts in 2014. She enjoys making a unique memory quilt for someone. She finds it very rewarding. The T-shirt quilts are finished with her signature corner curve.
Pattern designing has been done for Fandom in Stitches and her own patterns. However, she is passionate about teaching sewing and quilting to others. She started teaching beginning quilt classes in 2005 at Sew Many Ideas in Jackson, TN. She is the current License 2 Longarm and New Owner class instructor at Accomplish Quilting in St. Joseph, MI. In November 2020, she was an instructor for Virtual Quilt Show.
